I would be happy to discuss a custom artwork of your beloved family member, child or pet.

To commission a work of art is simple.

You can provide quality photos of your child or pet, or Maurade can visit your home, and take photos that flatter your loved one.

She will then  discuss with you, how you would like the portrait done, size, medium, content, completion date and price . At that time a 50% deposit will be required .

  • Maurade will then provide a maquette, or photo mock up of the work proposed. Upon agreement, she will proceed with the painting.
  • Once completed, she will contact you for approval. One alteration will be offered. Any further changes are subject to a small fee.

“Maurade painted a portrait of my Champion Mini Longhair Dachshund for me and I just couldn’t believe my eyes when she sent me the copy via email! I am an artist myself, so I know how hard it is to get the expression and personality to come through on a portrait.

Maurade caught it all! She made my dachsie come to life in the portrait, catching expression and personality all in one! Beautiful! Thank you Maurade!”

"Maurade Baynton created, with benefit of only a photo and never having met our beloved Aussie Hobie, an amazing likeness that at once excited and gave peaceful calm to me and my wife. We had raised Hobie from his earliest puppyhood - and he grew to become a cherished addition to our seven human kids. His passing had left raw our emotions for 2-1/2 years - until his portrait became a thrilling climax to our Christmas. Maurade's spot-on depiction of Hobie immediately warmed the hallway where it permanently displays, a continuous,  illuminating reminder of yesterday merged with the ongoing present. Maurade is a truly gifted artist, endowed with a sense of the unique spirit of animals flowing through an unbroken line from brain to brush. We are honored to share Maurade's treasure with all who come to our home"
